GAME ROOM...

The game room is one of the more popular places on campus. Well, it's air conditioned for one! Second, it has three torpedo ball tables. The kids can also sit and play table games like Uno or checkers. There's a basketball game, air hockey and other games too!

We're blessed to have such a wonderful space to hang out when we have free time or if it's raining and we can't play games outside.

SNACK SHACK...

Everyone loves visiting the Snack Shack! All our favorites are there from Takis, Yoo-hoos, to whole dill pickles and everything in between. Oh, and we also get Nachos on Friday night! We get spoiled a little during camp :)

Snack Shack is included in the price of Camp Jrs. Everyone gets two snack choices each trip, and Mrs. Natalie and her team keep track so we don't miss a turn or get too many.

WORSHIP SERVICES...

Just about everyone pitches in, around 30 of us, to make worship happen. It starts long before camp by getting our hearts prepared for worship with staff devotionals. Then we begin preparing both worship spaces. We split up by age groups after the opening parts of the service and the 5-8 year olds go to the game room while the 9-11 year olds stay in the tabernacle. We can give the same message to each group at age appropriate levels.

In the months leading up to camp, we are praying and preparing songs and messages. The decorating has to be done in stages then be executed pretty fast in just a few days. It's all hands on deck! It is really exciting for us when all of this comes together. We have been praying, studying and preparing for almost a year at that point. We know God has a plan for all of us and for the kids that will be at camp, and we just can't wait to share it with all of them.

WATER ZONE...

Every Friday we have a huge waterslide and some water games for a couple of hours. It is always hot, so it's perfect timing. The Snack Shack team also pulls out endless Ice Pops too!

GAMES & MORE!

Games in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night. We can't get enough of them! It's the heartbeat of our team challenges. The kids love finding out which team they will be on and competing against each other throughout camp. But there's more than games going on. We have crafts on Friday and Saturday. And another big part of camp that the kids have truly embraced is Bible memory verses.

They have a memory verse for each message, four total, and are given a booklet with spaces for people to initial each time they say one of the verses. The goal is for them to KNOW the verses, not just memorize them for signatures. It was encouraging this year, because some of the kids returned to some of the nightly services after kids camp was over (we still have services for another week). They were quoting their Bible verses. That's what we wanted! They had hidden God's Word in their hearts.

It's hard to put down everything Camp Jrs is in words. For me, it's something I cannot miss. It absolutely makes my year. We have already started planning for next year, that's how much we love what we do and we love these kids! Join our team. Contact Stephanie Young for more information: children.campwesley@gmail.com
